CX is NEVER Over!

Yes, the series, ended, the national championships happened, and then some trivial events in Europe, but CXing never ends. The San Ysidro Dirty Century is coming up soon. But what happens after that? Well, it's time for us CXers to get creative.

I know some are out doing the roadie shuffle, and some of us are doing the dirtbag shuffle, but we should put something together that resembles a CX race/ride, maybe 100ish miles with lots of climbing. Round the moutnain exists, we could take the dirt route to Clovis, but something different is what we need. (continued)

I guess it'll be dificult to top the SYDC, for a lengthy CX event. So, put your skinny dirt tires back on the CX rig, and let's go have some all day off road fun!

There's usually a sag vehicle, that hauls stuff out to the compressor station, which is sort of the midpoint. a volunteer to provide this serv ice is always neede, (still don't have one for this year). If your friend or partner wants to see you in the race, other thatn the start and finish, then they could easily drive themself and the sag junk out for all. This usually gets the drive dinner at the Turtle later. Go to http://nmes.wordpress.com/ to volunteer. Your drive could also haul you back if you run into problems out there. (Lenny always packs two cans of SPAM, six Ho Hos, and a bottle of dehydrated water for the sag, I don't know how he survives on that).

You've got a few weeks to prepare for SYDC. And until we come up with something else for a long CX ride, enjoy what we have.
